The New Orleans Saints have signed free agent DE Phillip Hunt and waived LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar it was announced by Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.
Hunt, 6-1, 258, is in his third NFL season, having spent the first four weeks of the 2015 campaign with the Detroit Lions. He spent his first two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2011-12 after starting his career in the Canadian Football League with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 2009-10, where he made 19 sacks, including a league-best 16 in 2010. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Browns out of the University of Houston in 2009, the Dunbar, Texas native has appeared in 24 NFL contests and has posted career statistics of 22 tackles (20 solo) and four sacks.
