Cornerback Tony Carter, who spent 10 days on the New Orleans Saints roster in December, was signed to a free-agent contract for 2016 on Monday.
Carter, 29, originally signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State in 2009.
He spent most of his career with the Broncos, aside from brief stints with the New England Patriots and, most recently, the Indianapolis Colts in 2015.
Carter was on the field for the Indianapolis Colts when the Saints played at Lucas Oil Stadium on Oct. 25.
About six weeks later, the same players became his teammates when he was signed as a late-season fill-in for injured rookie Damian Swann.
