Newly updated NFLPA records show the New Orleans Saints with only $2.57 million of space available under the salary cap.
The numbers appear to reflect all the Saints signings during the last week of free agency. It's not clear if the numbers include the restricted free agent tenders issued to tight end Josh Hill and guard Tim Lelito. Unofficial NOLA.com estimates showed the team with $4.06 million available (or $1.69 million when the tenders are included). The reason for the discrepancy was not clear.
NFL teams can start signing free agents on Wednesday (March 9).
