The New Orleans Saints made a little change regarding their training camp agenda. Initially scheduled to practice Monday morning and continue walkthroughs in the afternoon, Sean Payton and company declared it an off day.
This figured to be a day where roster moves were common, and they were. According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the club had a total of eight moves on Monday’s NFL transaction wire, four releases and four signings.
The New Orleans Saints have parted ways with defensive tackle Lawrence Virgil, wide receiver Kyle Prater, long snapper Chris Highland and tight end Alex Smith.
