HOUSTON -- The wait is over for Morten Andersen. The Great Dane has earned a gold jacket.
After four tries as a finalist, Andersen was finally inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, joining Terrell Davis, Jason Taylor, LaDainian Tomlinson and Kurt Warner in the Class of 2017. Senior committee inductee Kenny Easley and contributor committee inductees Jerry Jones also were inducted in the class.
Andersen joins Rickey Jackson and Willie Roaf as the only Saints to gain induction into Canton.
Former LSU standouts Alan Faneca and Kevin Mawae were among the finalists that did not make the cut.
