The New Orleans Saints have played four teams who made the playoffs last year, and they’re 3-1. The teams the Saints have played so far (the 2-2 Houston Texans, 3-1 Los Angeles Rams, 3-1 Seattle Seahawks, and 3-1 Dallas Cowboys) are a combined 10-2 against their other opponents, which speaks to the quality of competition New Orleans has faced and taken down. And they’ve done it largely without Drew Brees, who early in the second quarter during Week 2. That’s impressive.
Still, despite their record it hasn’t all been positive for the Saints. Some position groups have made mistakes and others have struggled to live up the high expectations they were given over the summer.
