New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month for December

Marshon Lattimore, the New Orleans Saints' 11th pick of the 2017 NFL draft, has been named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Month for December. This is the second Rookie of the Month selection for Lattimore, the first coming in October.

Lattimore, a 6-foot, 192-pounder from Cleveland, refers to himself as a “savage” and proves himself deserving of that name after having three interceptions in five games (one of which he was inactive) during the month of December. Possibly the most memorable interception by Lattimore came in the Dec. 24 home game against the Atlanta Falcons when he trapped the ball, intended for Atlanta’s Julio Jones, on his backside and secured the ball on the Falcons' 36-yard line with 50 seconds left in the first half.
