The New Orleans Saints and United Way of New Orleans teamed up for the 18th annual Hometown Huddle event to promote youth health and wellness at the Salvation Army of Greater New Orleans on Tuesday (Oct. 18).
Hometown Huddle, the NFL and United Way's league-wide day of service, connects the NFL's PLAY 60 initiative, which helps kids get active for 60 minutes a day, with United Way's goal to get more young people active and healthy.
The Saints enhanced three areas of the Salvation Army's Center of Hope with fitness zones and a creative arts room. One room was transformed into an indoor Fitness Zone with Saints-branded hydraulic fitness machines, a water rower, treadmills, and aerodynamic bikes.
