Going into this offseason, the biggest unknown for the New Orleans Saints was who was going to captain the ship going forward. Drew Brees finished his 19th year and was now an unrestricted free agent. He had injury problems throughout the year holding him out of some games.
Teddy Bridgewater stepped in and proved that he could be the starting quarterback of the team; however, he too is an unrestricted free agent. Then you have Taysom Hill, the Saints’ Swiss Army knife, who only threw three passes last year.
Hill also was the one who gave the New Orleans Saints the ultimatum between being the starting quarterback and wanting to leave if he didn’t get that job.
