The New Orleans Saints actually accomplished something during their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. But don’t worry, it wasn’t anything exulting.
Remember the 1980 Saints? It was a team that was incapable of improving from their previous year’s record of 8-8, but instead did the exact opposite, slumping to an all-time low by winning only one game that year.
During that previous season in 1979, two losses to close out home play in the Louisiana Superdome sparked a ten-game losing streak at home for the New Orleans Saints.
