Last season, the New Orleans Saints used a plethora of receivers to cover up the lack of consistency from many of the team’s starting options. Injury got the best of the receiving corp, not necessary the receivers inconsistent play.
After all, the team’s clear No. 2 receiver, Ted Ginn Jr., played just five games last season. He totaled just over 200 yards. Although playing under a third of the games, Ginn Jr. was tied for fifth in receiving yards.
That clearly displays a few things.
For starters, it showcases just how many options were present last season and just how inconsistent of production they were able to get from those numerous options.
