For the past six weeks after New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees injured his right thumb in a 27-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has led New Orleans to five straight wins.
Brees’ thumb injury caused him to have surgery yet the future Hall of Famer has bounced back with ease. He’ll obviously play again this season, but with the Saints doing so well and among the NFC’s best teams, should they return him prior to the team’s bye week?
This is a question that’ll be answered this upcoming Sunday, but it’s also something that should be discussed prior to game time.
