New Orleans Saints: 3 reasons the team must re-sign safety Vonn Bell

New Orleans Saints’ safety Vonn Bell finished the season with 86 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, 1.5 sacks, and one touchdown on the year. Those stats make him one of the most sought after safeties on the free-agent market this offseason.

It is the same reason that the Saints need to spend the money necessary to re-sign a safety like this. Oe the NFL free agent tracker, there is only one safety listed higher than Bell on the market. That safety is Devin McCourty who currently makes over $8 million more than Bell.

On top of that, Bell has been one of the most dynamic safeties since 2017, ranking fifth among others at the same position in sacks plus quarterback hits plus tackles for a loss.
