The New Orleans Saints have not had a consistent core at the wide receiver position outside of perennial Pro Bowler Michael Thomas for at least the past two seasons. That must change for continued success in 2020.
This revelation came back to haunt the team in the postseason, as the offense could only manage 23 points at the most in three home playoff games.
The 2019 regular season was a huge indicator of the lack of wideout production, with Thomas hauling in a league-record 149 receptions for 1,725 yards and nine touchdowns, while the rest of the wide receiving group combined for 56 receptions, 692 yards, and seven touchdowns.
