The New Orleans Saints, with the first of two selections in the 7th round, used the 231st overall pick to draft Notre Dame tight end Alize Mack. The Saints had major deficiencies at the position last season, and were expected by most to grab one in what is a deep crop.
Mack was one of the nation's highest recruited prep players coming out of high school, but his production never lived up to the hype with the Fighting Irish. Mack had 32 receptions for 356 yards and a touchdown during his first two years at Notre Dame, missing the '16 season due to academic reasons.
