A week ago, Kai Forbath was the toast of the town.
But after Sunday, while it’s too early to call him toast, Forbath, like so many Saints kickers before him in the Sean Payton era, might be feeling things warming up, following the Tennessee Titans’ block of his potential game-winning field goal in Sunday’s 31-28 overtime defeat.
Or maybe it’s others involved in the play.
“The snap, the hold, the fundamentals,” Saints coach Sean Payton said of Forbath’s attempted 46-yarder with 56 seconds left that the Titans’ Cody Sensabaugh got enough of it to make the ball fall far short.
