Former New Orleans Saints greats Morten Andersen and Sam Mills were among 25 players named semifinalists for the 2016 class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Tuesday evening. Andersen, who was the Saints' kicker from 1982-92, is a semifinalist for the fourth time. The Great Dane will be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor later this season.
Mills, a linebacker who was a key member of the Saints' Dome Patrol defense, played with the team from 1986-1994. This is Mills' first time as a semifinalist.
According to a press release on the Hall of Fame's website, the 25 semifinalists will be reduced by mail ballot to 15 Modern-Era Finalists in January.
