Morten Andersen becomes naturalized American citizen

Morten Andersen joined a number of iconic New Orleans Saints players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a member of the 2017 class, and on Friday he joined the United States of America. A native of Denmark, Andersen has spent much of his life in America since first visited as a foreign exchange student in 1977. He recently completed the naturalization process and was excited to share the news with his fans.

“Honored to become a citizen of the greatest country on earth today, very proud to be an American,” Andersen wrote on his official Twitter account, including a photo of himself waving a small American flag at his naturalization ceremony.
