METAIRIE, La. -- Of course, Mickey Loomis has some regrets over the draft and free-agency misses that have cost the New Orleans Saints in recent years.
However, the Saints' general manager couldn't resist pointing out that a couple of them were beyond his control.
"You know what makes it hard to build depth? Having two draft picks taken away from you. That makes it hard," Loomis said, taking a jab at the NFL for its severe Bountygate sanctions against the Saints -- including the loss of second-round draft picks in 2012 and 2013.
Loomis, meanwhile, fully accepted the blame for signing linebacker Junior Galette to a four-year, $41.
