New Orleans Saints star wide receiver Michael Thomas sent the football world into a frenzy on Sunday, when he scored a win-clenching 72-yard touchdown and celebrated with a tribute to former Saints great Joe Horn. Like Horn before him, Thomas retrieved a flip phone he’d hidden beneath one of the goalposts and called someone – possibly Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier, his college teammate and close friend – to break the good news about his big play.
But not everyone approved of the touchdown celebration. One of those upset viewers included former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who was fined $20,000 for making rude gestures at his own fans following a 2006 loss to the Saints.
