New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has been torching the Washington secondary on and off the field. His success against highly paid cornerback Josh Norman resulted in Norman getting benched in the blowout loss Monday night. Some after-the-whistle tapping and nudging and flexing from Thomas earned ire from a Washington defensive backfield that allowed 363 receiving yards to Thomas and the Saints.
Norman and his teammates were hurt by Thomas’ pettiness after the play, offering few words in postgame conversations with media. Norman was exasperated:
“That guy — to speak on him, I will not waste my breath.
