Mel Kiper Mock Draft 2.0: Saints get tight end to usurp Coby Fleener

The Saints were in need of a tight end after shipping Jimmy Graham off to Seattle in 2015. Ben Watson took the role for one season, but New Orleans saw an opportunity to steal away one of Andrew Luck’s weapons and signed Coby Fleener heading into 2016.

The move didn’t work out as they had hoped, as Fleener has started just eight games over the two seasons since joining the club. He has only 77 catches and five touchdowns in a Saints uniform. He was placed on injured reserve early in December after suffering what he referred to as his fifth concussion.
