New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram ran into the record books against the Pittsburgh Steelers, fighting his way into the end zone from a yard out to score his 50th career rushing touchdown. That broke the tie he shared with former Saints great Deuce McAllister, who set the team’s all-time record with 49 such touchdowns.
Ingram is chasing another of McAllister’s records, too. He went into the game with 5,944 career rushing yards – second only to McAllister at 6,096. Ingram ended the first quarter with 21 yards on the ground off of five carries, narrowing the gap between him and McAllister to just 131.
