New Orleans Saints pass rusher Marcus Davenport had a good rookie year, but maybe not up to the standards he hoped for. When asked about what he’s doing to improve over his past performance, Davenport pointed to one flaw he noticed in reviewing his rookie game tape: hesitancy.
“Honestly, I see I didn’t do enough,” Davenport told Josh Katzenstein of the Times-Picayune. His 4.5 sacks tied for fourth on the Saints defense last year, while his 12 quarterback hits ranked third-best. “I see a lot of little mistakes, a lot of hesitation, missed opportunities. So, I’ve got to watch it over and over and over again and correct that, and I’ve got to watch more film on other people, too.
