New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton said it was an easy decision to bring back linebacker Michael Mauti who missed much of last season do to ulcerative colitis which was exactly what the former Mandeville standout hoped.
"I tried to make it as easy as I could," Mauti joked.
The linebacker who'd been with New Orleans the previous two seasons had been sending the Saints coach videos from his workouts with the goal of showing Payton he was in shape and ready for another opportunity.
"The train keeps rolling even if a guy falls off," Mauti said.
