Saturday's heat and humid conditions affected the New Orleans Saints' ninth practice of training camp.
Right guard Larry Warford, linebacker A.J. Klein, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins, cornerback P.J. Williams and center Jack Allen left Saturday's workout with trainers before heading in the locker room.
Warford, Klein and Allen rode carts away from the field to the locker room late in practice. Warford and Klein entered the facility without assistance from trainers.
While the exact nature of the players' ailments are unclear, coach Sean Payton had an explanation on what may have occurred.
"We had a few more guys cramping," Payton said after practice.
