Former Saints wide receiver Lance Moore retired from the NFL on Tuesday when he signed a contract with New Orleans, allowing him to retire as a member of the organization.
Coming back to New Orleans to end his career where it started felt like the "proper ending," the wideout said Thursday at Saints OTAs.
But the retirement with the Saints didn't just happen overnight, in fact, Moore said New Orleans' general manager Mickey Loomis reached out last year during the season to see if he'd be interested.
"Definitely something that as my career started to wind down it was something I had in the back of my mind.
