The Louisiana State Bond commission approved the sale of up to $350 million in bonds for upgrades to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome during a meeting Thursday; the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District (LSED), or Superdome Commission, will oversee those sales. The home of the New Orleans Saints has stood since 1975 and has hosted more Super Bowls than any other venue in the country, in addition to other major sporting events like the annual Sugar Bowl, the college basketball Final Four, as well as regular stops on musicians’ world tours and live entertainment like Wrestlemania.
