Khalif Barnes, Chris McCain present for New Orleans Saints practice

The newest New Orleans Saints additions were present on the practice field Tuesday.

Offensive lineman Khalif Barnes, who can play tackle and guard, and defensive end Chris McCain were observed on the field during the stretching and conditioning portion of practice open to the media.

Barnes signed a one-year deal following a successful workout Monday, while the Saints acquired McCain via trade with the Miami Dolphins.

Left tackle Terron Armstead was not present, but he expects to play in the regular-season opener on Sept. 11.

Joining Armstead as not being observed on the field are tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, linebacker Nate Stupar, cornerback Damian Swann, cornerback Delvin Breaux, cornerback Brandon Dixon, tight end RaShaun Allen, offensive lineman Kaleb Eulls and defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (leg).
