The New Orleans Saints have lost their first free agent to another team.
Defensive end Kasim Edebali signed a one-year deal with the Denver Broncos, according to an announcement from his new team.
It's unclear how interested the Saints were in re-signing Edebali. He was a restricted free agent this year, but New Orleans did not extend a qualifying offer before the start of the 2017 league year last Thursday, which gave Edebali a chance to sign with any team of his choosing.
The Saints signed Edebali as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College in 2014.
