During the preseason you may have been surprised to hear that, in an offense that would include Chris Olave, Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry, that Juwan Johnson would wind up as the second most productive pass catcher for the New Orleans Saints in 2022. The third-year player from Penn State and Oregon has made the transition to tight end seamlessly after spending the first two years of his career at wide receiver. Johnson is yet another undrafted free agent gem found by the Saints, joining the team in 2020. After spending his rookie year primarily on the practice squad, Johnson became a part of the 53-man roster during his sophomore season, playing in 14 games and catching 4 touchdowns in 2021.
Juwan Johnson’s breakout season should not go unnoticed
