Just like his dad, Michael Mauti is Saints' special teams MVP

METAIRIE, La. -- How did Michael Mauti celebrate his one-year anniversary with the New Orleans Saints?

Well, last week he found out that he was named the Saints’ special-teams MVP for the 2015 season -- the same honor his dad, Rich Mauti, won 38 years ago.

Then earlier this week, Mauti was voted by teammates as the special-teams captain for 2016.

Not bad for a guy who just started playing for his hometown team last September after he was claimed off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings.
