Former New Orleans Saints wide receiver and kick return specialist John Gilliam will appear at the Saints Hall of Fame Museum on Sunday, Sept. 11, prior to the New Orleans Saints season opener against the Oakland Raiders.
Gilliam will sign autographs and take pictures for fans from 10 a.m.-11:15 a.m. at the museum.
Gilliam played for the Saints in 1967, 1968 and 1977. He became famous by returning the opening kickoff in franchise history 94 yards for a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 17, 1967.
With the Saints, Gilliam caught 57 passes for 681 yards and two touchdowns, rushed nine times for 77 yards and returned 31 kickoffs and 22 punts.
