Run defense has been a problem of ours for years. What move have we made this offseason to improve that the most?
You could look to personnel, like: The drafting of inside linebacker Stephone Anthony and defensive tackle Tyeler Davison; trading for inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe; an improvement or, at least, a return to rookie form by defensive tackle John Jenkins; and a return to health of Brodrick Bunkley. Anthony, especially, could be a run-stuffer. Or, perhaps, improvement will come because of a simplified defensive scheme that will allow players to play freer and faster, without quite so much thought process going into what is the assignment.
