The New Orleans Saints inactive list is longer than usual for Week 17’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers, due as much to injuries as absences related to COVID-19 cases within the team. After initially ruling out several players and calling up 7 of their 15 practice squad members, the Saints had to abide by NFL rules and file a list of inactives with the league before Sunday’s kickoff.
Several starters are returning to the lineup, though, including defensive end Trey Hendrickson, nose tackle Malcom Brown, and left guard Andrus Peat. Veteran cornerback Patrick Robinson remains on injured reserve despite having been recently designated to return to practice.
