The New Orleans Saints lost a talented rookie to a rival team on Sunday. The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed running back Devine Ozigbo off of waivers after the Saints waived him on Saturday, giving the Nebraska product an opportunity to help back up starting running back Leonard Fournette.
Ozigbo first signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent, competing for the third spot in the Saints’ backfield behind Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray. They opted to keep a valued special teamer instead in Dwayne Washington, running three-deep at the position for just the second time in nearly a decade.
