The New Orleans Saints played an aggressive first half but really turned on the heat in the second half when backup quarterbacks Tom Savage and Taysom Hill took the reins from Drew Brees.
Savage played like he’s read all the mean tweets and lived up to his surname, completing 7 of 10 passes for an impressive 99 yards, including this big-time rope to wide receiver Tommylee Lewis:
It otherwise was not a great night for Lewis. He botched a block that would have sent running back Shane Vereen into the open field for a walk-in touchdown and gained just 18 yards on his three punt returns.
