Cornerback Ken Crawley never received the same high praise his teammate Marshon Lattimore garnered after a phenomenal Pro Bowl rookie campaign in the NFL.
But make no mistake that Crawley was a vital member of the New Orleans Saints secondary, and his presence helped stabilize a shaky unit that opened season as one of the league’s worst during an 0-2 start.
He replaced embattled cornerback De’Vante Harris in the lineup as the starter in Week 3. Suddenly the pass defense came alive, and New Orleans routed the divisional rival Carolina Panthers 34-13. Crawley completed the game with eight tackles and two pass deflections.
