NEW ORLEANS – In a game that was billed as a clash of the titans between the New Orleans Saints offense and Denver Broncos defense, the Saints’ embattled defense actually rose up and played as well as any unit on the field on Sunday.
The Broncos ultimately won 25-23 (you know where those deciding two points came from by now).
But the Saints (4-5) held them to 337 total yards -- their second-lowest total of the season. And more importantly, the defense kept them in the game when New Orleans’ offense took forever to get warmed up.
