NEW ORLEANS -- If Drew Brees does practice Thursday, he will likely be "very limited," according to New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, who continued to describe Brees' status as "day by day."
Payton didn’t offer many specifics on Brees’ right foot injury. He confirmed that Brees is dealing with a torn plantar fascia, but he did not specify whether it is a complete or partial tear.
Payton compared the situation to Brees’ shoulder injury in September.
“There’s a similarity in that unknown as to how it feels,” Payton said. “And (Brees) is smart enough and will understand each day the progression he’s making.
