The NFL salary cap for 2016 will be $155.27 million, an increase of almost $12 million from 2015. That will give the New Orleans Saints a little more room to spend than previously thought.
With the carryover of $1.4 million of unused cap space from 2015 for a total team cap of $156.67, the Saints appear set to enter the new league year March 9 with roughly $7.7 million in cap space for the offseason.
That amount ranks as the fourth-smallest in the league, according to salary data at overthecap.
