Week 7 marked the second game played for New Orleans Saints defensive end Marcus Davenport after he was sidelined with elbow and toe injuries, and he didn’t disappoint: the 8 yards he cost the Carolina Panthers on a last-minute sack helped push them just out of field goal range, setting up Panthers kicker Joey Slye to come up just short of the crossbar.
But how often did he play against Carolina? To find out, we went through Week 7’s Saints snaps counts:
- QB Drew Brees, 69 (99%)
- RB Alvin Kamara, 51 (73%)
- RB Latavius Murray, 23 (33%)
- FB Michael Burton, 12 (17%)
- QB Taysom Hill, 10 (14%)
It was the Brees and Kamara Show for much of Sunday afternoon, and that worked out well for the Saints.
