CHARLOTTE, N.C. – New Orleans Saints linebacker Dannell Ellerbe had a reason to pay tribute to a former teammate and mentor during Thursday night's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Early in the second quarter, Ellerbe burst through the line of scrimmage to sack Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.
The play marked a second straight week Ellerbe got to an opposing signal caller, and the occasion called for a celebratory dance.
Not just any dance, of course, but a signature move linked to former NFL linebacker Ray Lewis, who was teammates with Ellerbe while with the Baltimore Ravens.
