Undrafted free agency is usually an exciting time for the New Orleans Saints, but this year was special. They landed their annual training camp hype beast as a rookie free agent out of Northern Arizona University in the form of wide receiver Emmanuel Butler, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound playmaker. He seemed to reel in tough catches and impress fans and coaches with a competitive streak day in and day out at training camp, despite missing a week-long stretch after an awkward fall during team drills.
However, translating that impressive consistency in practice to the preseason games was a challenge for the rookie.
