Tampa, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers grabbed a 13-8 halftime lead over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.
The Saints, after a sluggish start, scored on a 42-yard Wil Lutz field goal, a safety and a 34-yard Lutz field goal as the half ended. The Saints got the safety when Tampa's Josh Huff misplayed the kickoff and it went out of bounds at the 1-yard line. The Saints gang-tackled running back Doug Martin on the next play.
The Bucs scored on a pair of Roberto Aguayo field goals and a one-yard touchdown run by Doug Martin that was greatly aided by a pair of pass interfernce penalties on the Saints.
