Kansas City, Mo. - The Kansas City Chiefs took a 21-7 halftime lead over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs scored on a 46-yard screen pass from Alex Smith to Spencer Ware, a 48-yard interception return from Daniel Sorensen and a 38-yard TD catch by Tyreek Hill.
The Saints scored on their opening possession - the fourth consecutive game they have done that - on a 9-yard pass from Drew Brees to Brandin Cooks.
The Saints lost three players to injury in the first half: left tackle Terron Armstead, left guard Senio Kelemete and special-teamer Jake Lampman.
