For Saints fans, today’s loss against the Arizona Cardinals was anything but encouraging. Expectations and high hopes were in the minds of many entering the season opener, but the team failed to deliver a victory. A sluggish start on defense found the Saints in an early 14-3 hole, but the offense responded accordingly with a great individual effort from Brandon Coleman. Courtesy of quarterback Drew Brees, Coleman scored his first touchdown of his professional career.
The Saints defense made adjustments as the game continued, especially early in the second half. Much like last season, the offense became stale when the defense would make it interesting.
