The New Orleans Saints shuffled their practice squad on Wednesday, with guard Landon Turner returning to the unit per Nick Underhill of the Advocate. Turner signed with New Orleans after going undrafted in 2016, having started for several years for the North Carolina Tar Heels. He spent the last two years either on the roster or practice squad, ultimately getting waived during roster cuts back on Sept. 1. But his practice squad eligibility was not used up, so the Saints are bringing him bk into the fold.
This isn’t a good sign for several of the injured Saints linemen: starting left guard Andrus Peat, who missed last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens; reserve Josh LeRibeus (ankle), who replaced Peat; and Pro Bowl right guard Larry Warford, who is dealing with a back injury “is going to be a maintenance thing throughout the whole year.
