Good for Marcus Murphy: the former New Orleans Saints return man has earned an opportunity with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, making him the latest Saints alum to try his hand in the Canadian Football League. The Saints have been a popular spot for CFL All-Stars like Delvin Breaux and Adam Bighill to give the NFL a shot, with other contributors such as Erik Harris and Wynton McManis also passing through.
A seventh round pick in 2015 out of Missouri, Murphy’s claim to fame was a 74-yard touchdown return against the Carolina Panthers, the first Saints punt return for a score since the 2011 season.
