Former New Orleans Saints practice squad pass rusher Alex Jenkins signed a contract with the New York Giants after a successful tryout during their rookie minicamps. Jenkins spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons on the Saints practice squad as part of the NFL’s International Pathway, which granted New Orleans (and the other NFC South teams) a roster exemption to give Jenkins the opportunity. The Saints released Jenkins from the practice squad back in January, making him a free agent.
It’s good to see that he was able to parlay his experience with the Saints and natural ability (Jenkins stands tall at 6-foot-6, 270 pounds) to earn a roster spot with the Giants.
